My Story

From curiosity and passion for technology in adolescence to the creation of Foreign Technologies.

"I believe technology exists to solve real problems, simplify processes, and build the future."
1998

Birth and Early Days

Gustavo was born on February 18, 1998. His premature birth led to several health challenges in his early months, including three cardiac arrests. Doctors informed the family that his chances of survival were very slim and that he might face permanent consequences. Fortunately, he overcame this phase and, from a very early age, developed a huge curiosity to understand how things worked.

2012

Discovering Technology

Even in his teens, between 13 and 14, technology was already part of Gustavo's routine. He learned self-taught how to assemble and disassemble computers, format and install operating systems, replace hardware components, maintain printers, set up home networks, recover smartphones, and solve various technical problems. What started as curiosity quickly turned into a passion for engineering, technology, and developing innovative solutions.

2015

Entering the Workforce

His professional journey began in 2015, at age 17, as a supermarket bagger. In the following years, he worked across diverse areas—from veterinary assistant and salesman to storekeeper, cashier, IT technician, and administrative assistant. Each experience helped build his discipline, responsibility, adaptability, and interpersonal skills.

2020

Foreign Technologies is Born

In March 2020, driven by the desire to turn ideas into technological solutions, Gustavo founded Foreign Technologies, a company dedicated to software development, SaaS platforms, and AI-based solutions. Although operations started in 2020, official registration took place in November 2025. Around the same time, he started a Software Engineering degree but temporarily paused it to focus on developing the company's first projects.

2022

Academic Return

In 2022, he resumed his academic journey by enrolling in Computer Engineering at FASTEC. In 2023, he transferred to FMU, and in 2024, switched to Software Engineering at Anhanguera, fully aligning his studies with his professional career.

2023

The First Chance & TCS

His first tech opportunity came in Jan 2023 as an IT Assistant at G&P Projetos e Sistemas. Three months later came his first opportunity in large companies as a Software Engineer, when he was hired by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), participating in the development and maintenance of corporate applications and projects for Vale S.A and Petrobras.

2025

WEX Brazil & SRE

In June 2025, Gustavo joined WEX Brazil, initially in the global Platform Engineering team, working with automation, CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure. Later, he moved to the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, contributing to the reliability, availability, and evolution of critical platforms used worldwide.

2020-Atual

Leadership & Future Vision

Alongside his corporate role, he continues to lead Foreign Technologies, developing complete End-to-End solutions. He participates in every stage of the software lifecycle, with the mission of using technology, software engineering, and AI to build innovative, scalable products.
